North front of house, from the park
We hadn’t walked at the local National Trust property Wimpole Hall since the summer, so we booked places in the middle of a cold January day and headed out across the park towards the Folly, and back through the eastern part of the fenced estate behind the farm and walled garden, where we hadn’t walked before.
I took the full-spectrum Olympus with wide-angle zoom, and used an 860nm filter which lifted the tones in the grass and evergreen foliage, enphasized the tracery of bare branches, and pulled out what structure was available in the otherwise sullen sky.
