As in most Asian countries, the motorcycle and scooter is the most popular form of personal city transport in Laos, but the generally low traffic density allowed me to pick out individuals and set them in good light or against sympathetic backgrounds.
Some of the riders were stylish and colourful, while a rain shower one morning brought out umbrellas to add to the variety. Some riders carried goods for sale, while the combinations of children being carried and the range of attitudes to personal safety rang all the changes.
At the end of the day, sometimes we all feel like a bit of a snooze…
