Finding Strand: Loch Bee, South Uist

Loch Bee, South Uist (6/7) and Loch Bee (32)

Strand included two images of Loch Bee (Loch Bi), the largest loch on South Uist, lying towards the north of the island and joined to the sea via channels to the west and east. The one at page 32 is from a probably unidentifiable location, but there are several foreground and background features of the spread at pages 6 and 7 that allow me to place it somewhere close to the car park at the north end of the causeway carrying the A865 over the loch at grid reference 783432: I think the clouded, distant hills are Beinn Tairbeirt and Beinn a' Phortair on South Uist.

I explored the shore to the east of the car park to take my version, where again I had to do my best with a featureless blue sky!
